Indonesia stands ready to contribute meaningfully to global efforts in preventing the climate crisis
He currently serves as Rector of the International Islamic University Indonesia (UIII; 2024 to present).
Previously, he served as Acting Rector of UIII (2023-2024), Vice-Rector for Research, Cooperation, and Community Engagement at UIII, and Director of Graduate Studies at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. He also held Vice-Rector roles at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta for Cooperation and Academic Affairs. Notably, he directed the Center for the Study of Islam and Society from 2001 to 2006.
He completed a Bachelor's degree from IAIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (1990), a Master of Anthropology from the Australian National University (1996), and a Doctorate in Anthropology from the Australian National University (2000).
