Indonesia stands ready to contribute meaningfully to global efforts in preventing the climate crisis
He currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the International Islamic University Indonesia (UIII; 2021 to present), Senior Fellow at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Indonesia (2022 to present), and Convenor of the Disaster Management Research Unit at CSIS (2018 to present).
Previously, he served as an Executive Director of CSIS Indonesia (2016–2022), Head of the Department of Politics and International Relations at CSIS Indonesia (2012–2015), Visiting Lecturer at Paramadina Graduate School (2015), and Senior Researcher at CSIS Jakarta (2001–2022).
He completed a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Universitas Padjadjaran, a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Adelaide, Australia (2001), funded by an AusAID scholarship, and a Doctorate in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, USA (2011).
